Fed Destroys Davy to Capture Qatar Title

World 2-ranked Roger Federer won another the Doha ExxonMobil Open title hammering 2010 champion Nikolay Davydenko 63 64 in the final of the ATP TOUR tournament in Doha.

Raja captured the championship for the 3rd time, after back-to-back trophies in 05 and 06, earning Roger the first three-time champ in event. The triumph marked 67 Tour titles for Roger, who picked up 250 Rank points plus $177, 000 in prize winnings.

In addition, the victory in Qatar presents Raja the ideal in prep for the Oz Open, which takes place in the near future. The Swiss native is the defending champion in Melbourne as he seeks a 17th Grand Slam singles win.

The No. 2 seed Fed was stingy on service this week, only losing serve once in 42 serve games to reach the final, and was just as extraordinary against The Russian. The Swiss did not encounter a break point and won 79 % of points on first serve.

The swiss native made a speedy start to the contest, racing to a 3-0 lead in advance of closing out the opener on serve. The russian was pushed to create close to his best tennis to stay level with Raja in the second set, but his challenge went pear shaped in the ninth game as Roger broke to love before wrapping up the title in 1-hour, 19-minutes. Fed is now 23-3 at the atp tournament.

Thus Raja triumphs! Very good news!
